150th Anniversary Prayer
Blessed are you, O Lord our God, creator and sustainer of the universe! We give you praise for calling us to be your servants at the Mission to Seafarers in the Port of Halifax.We give you thanks and glory for all the blessings you have bestowed upon us for the last one hundred and fifty years of ministering to seafarers in this place.
Guide our efforts as we strive to care for the spiritual and practical welfare of seafarers of all races and creeds who visit our port.
May we be filled with compassion and love for these men and women that go down to the sea in ships. Let your Holy Spirit teach us to serve in humility, and to praise you by our work and worship.
All glory is yours, Father, through Jesus your Son in the communion of your Spirit, now and for ever.
